Although I think that raising the taxes for higher class worker is cliché I tend to agree with most of Obama’s tax proposals. Obama plans to increase the corporate tax rate whereas McCain is content to leave it at 25%. I believe it makes sense to tax those who are better off more than those in the middle. The real way to cut taxes is to cut spending and be more secure with foreign investment, however strictly based on a tax policy I prefer Obama’s. Which ever candidate tends to cut more peoples taxes will ultimately have the better solution because more people will be better off. By the numbers it looks like Obama’s plan cuts more peoples taxes by a greater amount; whether he is able to implement this with the recent out of control government spending is hypothetical.
It seems that McCain is saying that Obama’s tax plan is discouraging people from owning their own small business and being rich in general. In the state of the economy they both tend to be oversimplifying the complexity of these tax cuts. I would ask Barack Obama how he intends to reduce or budget deficit by reducing taxes at the same time. I would also ask him with an income of 250,000 dollars or more how much more does that person actually have to pay.
